• 3-4 cucumbers (the smaller, the better; if too small, you might need more!)
• 1 tablespoon pickling salt
• 1 1/3 cup water
• 1/2 cup vinegar
• 1/4 teaspoon mustard seed
• 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard seed
• 1/2 teaspoon whole black peppercorn
• 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
• 1 bay leaf
• 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning
• 2 fresh dill weeds

Instructions:

1. Prep the Cucumbers:

   • Begin by washing and chopping the cucumbers. Make sure to cut off and discard the ends, as they contain a hormone that can cause the pickles to soften.

2. Fill the Jars:

   • Line up your quart jars and evenly distribute the chopped cucumbers among them.

3. Add Dry Ingredients:

   • Into each jar, add 1 tablespoon of pickling salt, 1/4 teaspoon of mustard seed, 1/4 teaspoon of Dijon mustard seed, 1/2 teaspoon of whole black peppercorn, 1/2 teaspoon of dried dill, 1 bay leaf, 2 tablespoons of ranch seasoning, and 2 fresh dill weeds.

4. Add Liquids:

   • Pour 1 1/3 cup of water and 1/2 cup of vinegar into each jar. If you prefer a stronger flavor, feel free to add more of the dry ingredients.
